So I ordered a 98 jspec transmission and clutch to go along. Will be getting my downpipes installed while they fix the leaking coolant hose. This leaking hose is a catalyst for all this as my transmission is operating fine just sometimes 4th gear grinds if 3rd is wrapped out and i shift fast into it so ive been easy on it but want to be able to shift normally into it. My question is...is it worth doing the rear main seal? I don't know too much about this seal to be honest but thinking it's between the engine and transmission? Can anyone shed some light on this?
